DIY cane sideboard | IKEA hack

if you've been a little absent over here recently you might have missed my obsession with all things cane (see this cabinet,  this headboard  and this bedside table  DIY's as proof.)  if you love cane furniture as much as me the good news is i'm back with a boho take on a classic storage unit.. the IKEA besta . i love the versatility of this storage unit, it comes in so many options, sizes and combinations you can easily pick a selection that works in your home.  i chose to create this sideboard storage unit using the larger besta units (fyi there are other options in the IKEA besta range like media units/single/double freestanding cabinets that would also look equally great with this makeover.)  i've used a different type of cane webbing to my other projects and i have to say i like this more delicate weave a lot (i have some offcuts that i'm going to stash away in case i think of some smaller projects in the future.) you can read the full DIY tutorial i'v...

i've been making a bunch of stuff for gabes' nursery lately aaaaand i keep meaning to share it with you guys and then get tied up doing mum stuff or watching trash tv and yep ...my bad.  however, i finally remembered to document making something so here we are, hurrah! as you know i love muted earthy tones (especially now those autumnal months are creeping in) i keep seeing rainbow decor allll over my pinterest feed so i wanted to make some ornaments that i could hang in gabe's room to add a little extra cuteness.  (be warned my rainbow aesthetic is more brown than bright) materials: terracotta clay acrylic paint brushes craft knife rolling pin step 1. roll out your clay to about 5mm thick. I'm using this  air dry clay . i ordered terracotta clay instead of white by mistake and wow i'm happy about it, terracotta clay fits my colour scheme waaay better.  (it does however get on your hands so you'll need to give them a quick wash afterward!)  step 2. grab a craft...
