i hadn't been to barcelona since i was 15 so revisiting it last month was like discovering it all over again! it's a beautiful city with plenty to explore making it a perfect long weekend destination. we went for 4 days this time round and i'd definitely recommend going just before peak season- the weather was gorgeous plus we didn't have to rush to beat the crowds- winner! i wanted to share a quick overview of my favourite experiences in case any of you guys were heading there too.. 

i had my first trip to brighton at the weekend and i had THE BEST TIME!  brighton totally stole my heart with it's selection of independent boutiques, trendy coffee shops and seaside appeal. it's also pretty compact so you can potter around without stressing out that you'll miss some awesome discovery which makes it my kind of weekend destination! i've rounded up my highlights in case there are any brighton newbies like me thinking of visiting, i'd totally recommend you try these out. 1. take a wander around north laine. i spent the majority of my time in this eclectic slightly hipster neighbourhood . it's swimming with coffee shops, quirky restaurants, vintage stalls and independent boutiques. take a stroll around the streets (right near the train station) and enjoy the bustling atmosphere in between stops for pancakes and coffee! 2. picnic at the cultural quarters. the exotic pleasure palace that is the royal pavilion  is a total surprise to stumble across. it...

blogging can be a time consuming business.  I'm slightly in love with my little baby so being immersed in writing, editing and planning on a daily basis is quite normal for me. the only time I find it all a little stressful is when my schedule is busy or I'm away from home. I always find the best way to keep blogging fun is simply to stay organised so I avoid having little meltdowns! I went away twice last month and the thought of not posting for a while terrified me at first.. it can be a struggle to keep a healthy balance between work, personal life and blogging (I'm often up late replying to emails, editing photos and juggling freelance work.) I've never wanted to get to the point where blogging became a chore and thankfully it hasn't. hat: primark vintage levis jacket* brag vintage eagle sweater: urban outfitters leigh jeans: topshop backpack: topshop boots: office reykjavik is charming... and pretty chilly. every morning I'd layer up like the michelin man and head out to explore. it's quite a small place; the streets are full of little shops brimming with vintage clothes and hidden gems. it's so relaxed you find yourself wandering from street to street with no agenda other than to peek into doorways and hunt out the next quaint coffee shop to stock up on cake and caffeine. it's been a while since I shared some of my favourite buys & recent discoveries so I've rounded up all the things that make my heart a flutter and delivered them below! a lot have come from my recent holiday so be warned there's quite an assortment... night lights: gahhh I'm such a tourist, I literally can't resist novelty items!  these mini night/mood lamps are so cute and teeny I found them in a shop called tiger store in iceland luckily I was able to squeeze them into my hand luggage.. much to the delight of the people at airport security..  we do have tiger store branches in the uk but they don't deliver so you can't buy online.. pure torture!!
