Hình ảnh
cocoon check print dress : c/o front row shop pork pie hat: topshop double cuff: topshop pyramid ring: urban outfitters gold double chain ring: laura gravestock vintage cocktail ring : c/o rock 'n' rose perspex bag: klear klutch obsessed. yep that pretty much sums up my feeling towards my new dress. it's quite unlike anything else I own and is my favourite a/w piece so far. it also has the addition of pockets (always dear to my heart) and I love how understated it feels. the dress is from front row shop who have quite the selection of quirky clothing, I'm already building up quite a hefty wishlist! I'm really loving unusual cuts and details and their clothing has a wonderful scandinavian feel to it, big fan.  I've been rummaging through my accessories and one thing I will be investing in this month is a few more vintage style rings, I really don't have enough choice in my current stash so if you have any jewellery shop recommendations please let me know! to...

what I wore: black velvet

velvet world dress : c/o mee mee fedora: topshop backpack: topshop studded boots: old eeeeeep I finally have some velvet in my wardrobe! every season tartan and velvet seem to be a staple in autumn/winter trends and I massively regretted not investing in a velvet dress last season! this little number is from the new arrivals at meemee and it was velvet & sheer winner at first sight.. it had a hint of gothic fairytale but still looked wearable. I'm not a huge fan of big sheer panels but subtle ones get the thumbs up for me; I'll mostly wear this dress layered up with jumpers, tights and chunky boots so it'll be quite versatile this winter (no doubt It'll pop up on here again soon!)  I'm already looking forward to layering up again (and probably eating my way into hibernation) is that wrong? anyone else excited to whip out the knits? caroline x shop the look:

what I wore: stripes + kicks

dress: vintage (gift) belt: urban outfitters superga x rita ora high top trainers: c/o allsole hat: h&m similar here bag: topshop badges: vintage and thrifted ice cream necklace: chelsea doll I do like to have a bit of fun with my outfits... I've always had a slight obsession with collecting old badges and brooches so I decided to use a few of them to decorate one of my vintages dresses (the dress is so 80's I figured I should go with it) I think I might have been on a haribo induced sugar high when I put this outfit together. I thought it would the perfect casual outfit to wear with my new trainers from  allsole . these silver beauties are from the new rita ora collaboration with superga , she's the face of their latest campaign and these metallic high tops are just too cool for school! I can't resist anything shiny and I think they'll be perfect with some skinny jeans as autumn approaches... (they also did a collaboration with house of holland and have some tr...

what I wore: tea dress + t bars

Hình ảnh
topi tea dress: motel fedora: topshop selena bag: la moda martie shoes: topshop chunky silver band: kukee some brands are just damn dangerous for my bank balance!  motel is one of those websites I go out of my way to avoid browsing due to the sheer amount of temptation on offer, I am however fatally weak (I guess some things are just too pretty to avoid goddamn it) I finally ordered this dress after a few days of ummming and ahhhing and I'm so glad I did;  it's the perfect little summer dress and really comfortable to wear (now I just have to resist the other three dresses I spotted...) I also picked up this oversized selena bag from la moda which was a steal at £16 and could quite literally carry a small rhino (ok I exaggerate a little but it's amazingly roomy) I loved the padlock and tassel detail and I wanted a big white summer bag for holiday so it ticked all the boxes. they have some beauties in stock the minute and I'm seriously tempted to go back for another styl...

what I wore: bodycon + black

Hình ảnh
white racer front bodycon dress: c/o little mistress fedora: topshop necklace: primark bag: vintage sandals: new look yikes I feel quite grown up in this outfit! it's not often I stray away from my casual threads but I love a good bodycon dress, this one is from little mistress who have oodles of niceness on offer.  racer front and clean lines = classic staple for my wardrobe (the words classic and staple will usually sway me towards most items, I suspect it's old age kicking in) they also have some adorable separates like this cut out chiffon panel top *swoon* one to add to the bookmark bar!  the dress itself is amazing quality, fully lined (no pesky peek a boo underwear) it's one of those little numbers that makes you feel super feminine and a little minxy (well until I ruin the illusion by spilling a drink on myself..)  my other love is my new primark necklace and silver chunky bands from kukee, I'm fast becoming a silver convert and can't stop browsing jewelle...

what I wore: jersey & vintage

Hình ảnh
I've been reviving my love affair with h&m this month. I didn't really buy anything from their ranges for about a year and only recently started popping back in regularly to see what's new in. I saw this grey jersey dress and decided I needed to purchase it immediately! I love basic cuts and this little number is so simple and classic (not to mention comfortable) I knew it would be a handy everyday option. the only downside is you have to be really careful when you wash it as mine shrunk, luckily I was able to exchange it and opted to go a size up, lesson learnt! I'm also sporting some frankly gorgeous vintage inspired jewels delivered from rosie fox ! rosie creates the most beautiful items and I've been itching to share them with you especially my aztec arm cuff! if you're a fan of all things vintage and quirky you'll love her collection, from hair accessories straight out of the great gatsby to statement cuffs and necklaces, a veritable treasure trove ...

what I wore: dungarees & flower crown

Hình ảnh
it's father days and true to form I'm about to make a frantic dash to the shops for an hour of panic buying! I always struggle with fathers day gifts as pops hates us spending money on him (which makes us want to spoil him all the more) so before I embark on mission 'what to buy dad' a quick outfit post..  this candy coloured number is from karma clothing who've kindly invited me to be involved in their summer look book; the theme was festival ready so I thought it would be the ideal time to wear my flower crown.. yipee!  I umm'd and ahhh'd over what clothes to pick and finally settled on these adorable pink dungarees. I really wasn't sure if they'd suit me; I've tried on loads of dungarees and often find them too tight and short for my liking! these have completely restored my faith in dungarees shorts and playsuits, hallelujah!!! the cotton is really light and wearable, perfect for daytime, I'm glad I opted for pink as it's not a colou...

what I wore: stripes & smocks

hello comfy dress! that's right it's another asos smock dress (send help)  I just can't get enough of these over sized swishy numbers. this one is a little more subdued than my usual colour scheme but the stripes won me over and I love any item of clothing that I can literally throw on! I'm not sure what happened but I managed to colour coordinate an outfit head to toe for the first time ever.. hurrah! (ok I'll admit it was a pure accident but I'm glad I managed to get a picture of this special occasion) the satchel is from primark, one day I will upgrade cambridge one (I've been saying this for at least a year) the pineapple hair was simply down to me being lazy 'cause it's the weekend! grey marl smock dress:  asos bag: primark sandals & lace trim socks: topshop necklace: urban outfitters nails: nails inc queen victoria street sunglasses: h&m come find me on  bloglovin'  |  twitter  |  pinterest  and say hi! ps. don't forget to ...
