happy easter guys, hope you're all enjoying a few days off? (have you made the compulsory pilgrimage to the garden center and hardware store yet?) i love to fix up the house over the holidays so i figured i'd share a quick little project for this s-hook shelf in case anyone was interested in making one!  in my marie kondo-esque mission to utilise all the wasted storage space in our house i decided to make an easy shelf that would work in cupboards, closets or small spaces like bathrooms to hang all our stuff on.

rainbows are having a bit of a moment.. or is it just me? i'm always looking at nursery decor and lately i can't stop obsessing over rainbows, especially ones in more muted tones.  i've wanted to make a wall hanging for ages so when creative rox asked if i'd like to make something with their products a rainbow wall hanging was an easy choice.

when it comes to bedrooms headboards are king (or more likely queen!) whether you're going for a big statement or a more minimal look the headboard you choose tends to set the tone of your space.  you may have noticed but i'm a little in love with all things rattan lately, whether it's baskets or cane cabinets i'm seriously digging the boho vibes and where better to introduce them than the boudoir?  

last time i showed you around my living room was back in 2015 .. and wow, things have definitely changed since then! i'm still a big fan of vintage and mid-century furniture but my style is now more influenced by scandinavian design. i guess this room is a mash-up of all of those influences but i've always liked mixing new and old so that's not much of a surprise! anyway, i've been itching to show you around how it looks now and share some of my favourite pieces! as we have a 1 yr old slowly taking over our home we weren't in the mood for a drastic renovation but with a repaint, a big reshuffle and the help of the wonderful west elm (aka the purveyors of dreamy mid-century furniture) who very kindly gifted us some pieces we've been able to create a living room that i want to hang in all day long. YAY! one of the biggest things that we needed to change was our old sofa, omg it was a sorry state. it was so stained from years of our muddy ...

ok, so i'm fully obsessed with cane furniture, it haunts me with its gorgeousness but i basically can't justify the cost cause some of that stuff is EXPENSIVE!!! i wanted to make my own budget version of some the lovely cabinets i keep spying on sites like urban outfitters. if there was ever a piece of furniture crying out for an IKEA hack it has to be the ivar cabinet, it's beautiful in its simplicity.. those untreated wooden doors and those clean lines, ah yes we likey. i figured the doors could easily be modified to add in some cane panels and guess what .. i was bloody right, hurrah! head over to hunker to see the step by step for this  cane furniture hack  and let me know if you try making it too! are you loving cane furniture too? i have some more projects that I'll be using this  cane webbing on that i'll be sharing soon.. caroline x 

hey guys, it's been a little quiet over here because we've been quietly working away on updating the rooms in our home over the last few months. nothing too ambitious just repainting, streamlining, baby proofing and adding in some new pieces of furniture.. small changes but they've actually had a big impact! i  thought i would share some of the changes we've made by posting a few updated tours on here! since gabe arrived we've had zero time for decorating so i'm beyond happy to finally tick off a few house to-dos! first up was updating our study where james' works. i've never really been a big fan of his office, i've always liked the desk but the previous artwork was outdated, his desk chair didn't match and james' had a tendency to collect clutter on his desk. we both felt it needed to be stripped right back before adding things back in until we found the right balance. james had a big display cabinet that we got from ikea that was definite...
