I seem spend the majority of each year praying for sunshine but when the chill starts to set in I get all excited about knits, layering up and dark nights with hot drinks. I've been so busy recently I've not had much time to dedicate to my favourite pastime.. nail painting!  I can't help but get a little bored of plain nails so nail transfers are my go-to 'nail art' when time is precious (if in doubt cheat your way to fun fingers!)  I have quite a few favourites but these tiger transfers from janchristie are definitely in my top 5!!  they're incredible easy to use just peel off the transfer and stick the image onto your nails.. voila! make sure you apply a few layers of top coat to seal the image otherwise it will rub off when they get wet!  in case you wondered the nail polish is the gorgeous lemon meringue from models own  (yum) the transfers are available from  janchristie  in dozens of animal varieties! in other news I realised I never did anything to celebrate reaching 1000 followers so I'm planning a nail art giveaway next month hurrah!! wowza, I've been dying to show you my new bracelets! I'm sure you know how much I love anything novelty, so it's no surprise I'm a big fan of my latest additions. ilcentimetro have taken the iconic dressmakers tape measure and created potentially the most quirky accessory ever! the bracelets cuff's themselves are gorgeous; real leather and handcrafted in italy the quality is fantastic but more importantly they're just really darn cool. they come in a whole range of colours and sizes, I choose the classic yellow as I love the colour and arctic white as the perfect neutral for mixing with lots of outfits.  I've worn them today with one of my favourite tea dresses, one I bought last summer but still a firm favourite and since the sun's out I may as well take advantage!  unfortunately the cuffs are unisex so my other half has decided that he's allowed to borrow them (good luck with that james!) hello sunshine, good bye wages. sunny weather puts me in a dangerously good mood which usually leads to shopping. yes I know.. I'm weak. I have resisted shopping for clothes however (gives myself a pat on the back) and instead decided to buy a few little accessories to perk up my wardrobe for the summer. first up some sunglasses as I'm horrendlous short of pairs. I'm not sure where they disappear to every year but I have a feeling my mum or sister has a stash of my specs hidden away somewhere... rascals! I'm always on the hunt for new jewellery so I thought I'd share my latest creative crush with you.. the divine laura gravestock! I've been harbouring a secret love affair with her accessories for months (I've been known to stalk her twitter pictures..don't tell anyone) like most people I love snapping up necklaces in topshop and h&m but it's rather nice to own a few proper pieces in amongst them and there's something undeniably special about picking out a ring measured to fit.
