quite possibly the last outing my boyfriend coat will get for a while since the sun (albeit temperamental) has arrived! I picked up this cute tee in american apparel while I was in new york, it's an oversized fit so stupidly comfortable and easy to wear tucked into skirts or shorts! since I went for such casual attire I layered on a truck load of accessories from stacking rings to chunky necklaces (I have a little bit of an accessory addiction at the minute!) topped off with my belt to give it some definition. all in all a very lazy out & about kinda outfit!  new york is for lovers tee:  american apparel heart print skirt & boyfriend coat: primark both necklaces & rings: topshop double studded cuff & casio watch:  urban outfitters leather satchel: topshop (old) sunglasses: h&m nails: nails inc 'primrose hill gardens' back soon! caroline x

since I'm feeling a little under the weather today I thought I'd pop up a little instagram post! when I wrote easy nail art in the title I really did mean easy! hello fimo pieces, my saviour when I don't have time to paint my nails properly! simply applied with the aid of clear polish, smothered in a good topcoat and voila candy-licious nails! my base coat is the delicious harem by  illamasqua  a pinky purple delight that applies like a dream and the fimo pick and mix sweet pieces are from  sparkly nails . I love these nails so I think I'll have a go at painting the allsorts sweets freehand myself next time.. eeeeeek, I've been so excited to share this post with you guys! I was recently contacted by an LA based company called scratch, an awesome duo of ladies whose mantra is simply to create current, fun and wearable nail wraps, sounds good huh?  when scratch asked if I'd like to design a collection for them and I said HELL YEAH and so the scratch & burkatron collaboration began...yipee!  I designed four wraps in total, the watermelon design has already sold out (on pre release) I couldn't quite believe my eyes when it was reviewed on zooey deschanels website hellogiggles and they were all snapped up! I'm super duper excited to announce that the main collection is officially launching TODAY on scratch  (happy dance) there are three designs in total and I thought I'd share them with you I know not everyone has the time or inclination to sit painting their nails so these are the perfect way to adorn your fingers when you've got a busy schedule. hello sunshine, good bye wages. sunny weather puts me in a dangerously good mood which usually leads to shopping. yes I know.. I'm weak. I have resisted shopping for clothes however (gives myself a pat on the back) and instead decided to buy a few little accessories to perk up my wardrobe for the summer. first up some sunglasses as I'm horrendlous short of pairs. I'm not sure where they disappear to every year but I have a feeling my mum or sister has a stash of my specs hidden away somewhere... rascals! I picked these sunnies up in h&m along with the blingtastic necklace! I've wanted a statement piece to wear with a white tee and jeans for the summer and I liked the shape of this one. I also grabbed some barry m gelly polishes (finally!!) oh man, another dungaree-esque look I hear you say..  hell yeah sorry I love 'em. boy oh boy you wont believe how impressed I am with this dress from karma clothing ! my favourite shade of denim, it fits an absolute treat and is astoundingly affordable at the jaw dropping price of £12. I kid you not folks, grab one before they go, their website is full of little bargains! I love the super simple combination of white and denim, for me it goes hand in hand like tea and toast, easy. I also decided to embrace a little silver jewellery for a change, I snagged the necklaces in new look and bought a few bangles in primark to top off the cheap and cheerful accessories.  the other item I'm doing a little happy dance about are my gorgeous new shoes from chatham marine ! I have the most annoying feet; after 20 minutes of walking I guarantee most footwear will give me horrendous blisters (occasionally it has it's perks, it's the ideal excuse for avoiding exercise if I'm feeling...

I'm always on the hunt for new jewellery so I thought I'd share my latest creative crush with you.. the divine laura gravestock! I've been harbouring a secret love affair with her accessories for months (I've been known to stalk her twitter pictures..don't tell anyone) like most people I love snapping up necklaces in topshop and h&m but it's rather nice to own a few proper pieces in amongst them and there's something undeniably special about picking out a ring measured to fit.
