hello weekend



oh boy this has been a loooong week and i'm so relieved it's almost over. our little pup has had his first 2 teeth come through and we've all been poorly with bad colds so there has been a lot of tears all round. i'll be spending the next few days with my family and i can't wait.. here's to the weekend and a large glass of wine this evening!

DIY cane cabinet | IKEA hack

ok, so i'm fully obsessed with cane furniture, it haunts me with its gorgeousness but i basically can't justify the cost cause some of that stuff is EXPENSIVE!!! i wanted to make my own budget version of some the lovely cabinets i keep spying on sites like urban outfitters. if there was ever a piece of furniture crying out for an IKEA hack it has to be the ivar cabinet, it's beautiful in its simplicity.. those untreated wooden doors and those clean lines, ah yes we likey. i figured the doors could easily be modified to add in some cane panels and guess what .. i was bloody right, hurrah! head over to hunker to see the step by step for this  cane furniture hack  and let me know if you try making it too! are you loving cane furniture too? i have some more projects that I'll be using this  cane webbing on that i'll be sharing soon.. caroline x

rattan bedside table IKEA hack

my name is caroline and i have a rattan addiction... seriously, i just can't help myself. since cane furniture can be ridiculously expensive i'm finding it impossible to resist DIY-ing my own with the help of some cane webbing. it's easy to source and gives you so many options for giving your furniture a quick makeover. this table is the most basic of IKEA purchases.. a £12 nesna nightstand. (yup, £12. not exactly breaking the bank right?)  i'm so happy with my new boho addition i had to share it... you can find the step by step tutorial for how i made it over on hunker .. go take a look at how easy this IKEA hack was to achieve! caroline x ps. if you're looking for cane webbing in the UK this is where i source mine.

it's been a while since I've popped up a currently lovin' so here's the latest instalment of a few items that are currently floating my boat! 1. thrifted straw bag: I love a good rummage through my local vintage & second hand shops! I picked up this little straw bag for £2  and I love it! 2. illamasqua androgen cream pigment* this is a wonder product!! a beautiful cream pigment that I use mostly on my cheeks (but can be used on eyes and lips too if it takes your fancy) a warm coral pink androgen is a shade that suits most skin types and gives a lovely glow.. if you're after a combination make up this is a great investment and has become a firm favourite of mine! 3. topshop nail polish in spilled milk: my love affair with white nails continues and this is my latest buy! the formula of this colour is surprisingly good needing 2 coats for coverage; I've found it doesn't chip too easily either! white polishes can be a little hit and miss so if you've b...
