ok, so i'm fully obsessed with cane furniture, it haunts me with its gorgeousness but i basically can't justify the cost cause some of that stuff is EXPENSIVE!!! i wanted to make my own budget version of some the lovely cabinets i keep spying on sites like urban outfitters. if there was ever a piece of furniture crying out for an IKEA hack it has to be the ivar cabinet, it's beautiful in its simplicity.. those untreated wooden doors and those clean lines, ah yes we likey. i figured the doors could easily be modified to add in some cane panels and guess what .. i was bloody right, hurrah! head over to hunker to see the step by step for this cane furniture hack and let me know if you try making it too! are you loving cane furniture too? i have some more projects that I'll be using this cane webbing on that i'll be sharing soon.. caroline x
it's been a while since I shared some of my favourite buys & recent discoveries so I've rounded up all the things that make my heart a flutter and delivered them below! a lot have come from my recent holiday so be warned there's quite an assortment... night lights: gahhh I'm such a tourist, I literally can't resist novelty items! these mini night/mood lamps are so cute and teeny I found them in a shop called tiger store in iceland luckily I was able to squeeze them into my hand luggage.. much to the delight of the people at airport security.. we do have tiger store branches in the uk but they don't deliver so you can't buy online.. pure torture!! I shall be making my way to one next time I get to london! postcards: it wouldn't be a holiday without the compulsory postcard haul 'when I grow up I want to be a tourist' is my new mantra.. topshop ashleigh multi buckle boots : I've been harbouring a crush on cut out boots since last winter.. ...
do any of you guys remember this little invention? yep.. it was the one from dragons den!! (god I love that show) I've been meaning to give it a mention for a few weeks... finally I've got round to giving you the low down on the tangle teezer detangling brush. I was sent it a while back from look fantastic and I've been using it religiously since! firstly I have to say it's a strange looking brush; resembling a giant jelly bean it's not exactly sophisticated but it actually does the job. I have long hair prone to tangling (not helped that I backcomb like a woman possessed) and I generally avoid brushing it out until I absolutely have too aha! I think that's why I like this product so much; the rubber bristles on this are different lengths and designed to flex and flick so it minimises breaking and damage to hair. so is it a good detangler? yes and it's also as good on wet hair. I brush through my shampoo and conditioner with it in the shower and ...
